Merge & Unmerge Guest Profiles

If you use our unified inbox and receive emails from 3rd party platforms like Booking.com, VRBO, or Expedia, you may have noticed those conversations come through a different profile and don’t tie in to the data we have from your PMS. Our team has made it easier to merge these 3rd party profiles with the existing ones with the Manage Conversation action.

 
  1. While you’re on the Booking.com, VRBO, or Expedia profile, click Manage Conversation in the three dot icon next to the guest’s name and a popup window will appear.
  1. In that popup, type in the actual name of the guest and select it from the dropdown.
  1. Once you hit Ok, Akia will merge the Booking.com, VRBO, or Expedia profile to the guest’s existing profile. Allowing you to toggle between the 3rd party platform like you would with SMS and email.
 

To unmerge a profile, click Manage Conversation and in the popup, type another guest’s name (the profile you want to move the email/phone number to) or create a new profile by typing in a new name. This is great if the phone number we received from the PMS is incorrect, or the guest may have mistyped and you have to separate the numbers.

  • Moved WhatsApp sign up to be under the Hotel Config section of Settings
  • Web Chat phone number opt-in checkbox is unchecked by default, visitors need to checkmark in order to begin chatting
  • Allow guests to sign a Mini App on the kiosk without searching for their reservation details
