Enabling Integration with Clock PMS
An administrator or a subscription owner will need to perform these actions to enable the integration.
- In Clock PMS portal, navigate to Settings > All Settings
- Find the API Users page under Advanced Settings
- Select 'Add'. In the 'User Name' field, fill in the name of the company, product or developer that will use the API.
You may receive an error from Clock PMS stating “Create / Update are not allowed for an API User.”
Please contact integrations@clock-hs.com to let them know that are you looking to activate the integration with Akia. Clock PMS’s representative will create and share the relevant credentials on your behalf.
- Select the Accounts that the API can access. This will typically be your hotels.
- Under ‘Grant Rights - PMS’, select Personal Data: Access and Personal Data: Bulk Access
- Select Folios under ‘Grant Rights - BaseApi’
- Select BookingFolios, Bookings, RoomTypes, and Rooms under ‘Grant Rights - PmsApi’
- Click Save.
- Open the newly created API User by clicking on ‘Edit’
- Click the ‘Create API Key’ button.
- Give your Akia representative the ‘User Name’, ‘API Key’, and the URLs from the ‘Api Endpoints’ section.
- Save.
Enabling Real-Time Events
- Contact integrations@clock-hs.com and let them know that you want to enable PUSH Notification to Akia.
- Grant the following Events:
- housekeeping_changed
- booking_new
- booking_update
- booking_expected
- booking_checked_in
- booking_checked_out
- booking_canceled
- booking_no_show
- Provide the Akia Endpoint URL for the events to Clock PMS
The Endpoint URL will be https://sys.akia.ai/webhooks/clock/<third_party_token>. Please confirm with your Akia representative on your final URL as the Third Party Token is uniquely generated for your Akia account.
Integration Breakdown
- 1-way integration - Akia only receives reservations from Clock, we cannot send data back
- Webhooks - Akia receives bookings right when they happen or when a booking is updated (dictated by the events above)
What Can I Do Now That I Have Clock PMS?
- Send a message right when the Booking is Confirmed or x days before a guest arrives
- Send a message when the room is marked as ready, the guest has checked in, or upon checkout
