What Are Booklets?
Booklets are paperless, contactless, and mobile-friendly web pages that donโt require any application installations from guests.
With a Booklet, you can include an overview of all the most important links on this page, such as contact information, policies regarding COVID-19, digital menus, and a map of the property. You can also use it to showcase activities and events in the local area.
How Do I Create a Booklet?
- Click on your profile picture and go to Mini Apps
- Click + New Mini App to start creating a new Booklet
- Blank Booklet: create a Booklet from scratch
- Premade Templates: edit the text, images, layout, etc. from a premade template
- Edit the Booklet name by clicking on the pencil icon in the top left corner
- Save the Booklet by clicking the Publish button at the bottom of the screen
- Any changes will also be automatically saved.

Other Options
Clicking the three dots to the left of the pencil icon (used to edit the Booklet name)
- Duplicate: click if you have multiple properties with similar information and want to quickly create multiple Booklets with the same information.
- Passcode: set a passcode for the Booklet to ensure the information is only sent to guests.
- Logo: optionally remove your property logo at the top of the Booklet, or upload a custom logo for the Booklet.
- Show โAdd to Homeโ: give guests the option to add the Booklet to their phoneโs home screen.
- Disable Dynamic Session: you will no longer be able to customize the Booklet with message tokens and a static link will be generated. This is great for FAQ Booklets if you want to create a QR code for them.

How to Send a Booklet to a Guest
In a Scheduled Message
Use the wand icon while you are creating your scheduled messages to link a Booklet. Hover over the Mini Apps section to select the appropriate Booklet.
You will then see the Booklet branching off from the scheduled message, indicating it has been linked correctly.
In a Manual Message
To send a guest a Booklet, you can select it using the wand icon in the message editor in any guest chat.
If you find yourself needing to send Booklets frequently on the Mobile App, you can create a Macro and link the Booklet for easy access.
Booklet Components
Text
There are five sizes possible for text (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Paragraph, and Footnote). The text size, color, and font can be customized in your propertyโs Branding section.
Notice
A yellow notification banner to alert and call out specific information to the guests.
Image
A graphical image is embedded on the page. (Images will be resized to 860 x 480 when added to the Booklet.)
You can also use custom attributes in the image field to make it more customized for the guest. If you select Dynamically resolve image from token and replace the text with the custom attribute token, the system will pull the image link from the custom attribute based on the rule you set previously.
- To add images to your custom attributes, please refer to this article: Advanced: Custom Attributes
Depending on your PMS integration, there is a token that can be used to pull a unit-specific image into the Booklet. For example, in Track it is {{customer.track_unit_image__c}} and in Escapia it is {{customer.escapia_unit_image__c}}; but please note that only the first image will be shown in the Booklet.
YouTube Link
Embed a YouTube video straight into the Booklet so guests donโt have to switch tabs to learn more about your property. (Only YouTube videos are supported in Booklets right now.)
Add a YouTube video by copying the entire YouTube link in the second line and the video thumbnail will appear. If youโre updating a YouTube video, you will need to create a new video component and delete the old one.
Table
Create a table in a Booklet where you can display reservation and guest information using message tokens. The table has two columns but you can add as many rows as needed.
Expandable Section
Add an expandable section into your Booklet to initially hide information from guests if theyโre not interested in learning more.
Image Link (Carousel, Link Card, Stacked Link Card)
An image link allows you to direct the guests to a different website or PDF.
Button/Button Grid
A button allows you to direct the guests to a different website or PDF and the color can be customized in your propertyโs Branding section. If you have multiple links, use a Button Grid to list them all.
If you want to include a regular hyperlink, you can use the format: [text](website)
Directory
Use the Directory component to link guests to different places in your Booklet without having to create a list of buttons.
Map
Embed a Google Map into your Booklet to make it easier for guests to navigate to your property.
Chat
Embed chat buttons in the Booklet, so guests can also click on it to start texting the property.
Social Links
Select which social media channels your property has so that guests viewing the Booklet can easily follow the links. (To set up the links, go to Hotel Config in Settings.)
Reservations
Include the guestโs reservation in the Booklet itself so they are able to view their reservation dates and room information ahead of time.
You are also able to configure what reservation information is viewable to the guest on this Booklet.
Mini Apps
Link any Mini Apps you want guests to review prior to their stay in the Booklet itself.
Note that in the Booklet editor, each Mini App has a different graphic to make it a bit easier to distinguish which App you are including.
Use Cases
- ๐ย Parking Instructions: Send specific driving and parking instructions to your guest.
- Create a new Booklet with raw text instructions or pull the instructions with message tokens and include it in your pre-arrival message.
- ๐ฐย Guest Brochure: Give guests a Booklet that has your TV channels, Wifi, Menus, etc.
- Separate the information into different pages to mimic a real hotel Booklet.
