What Is a Macro?
Macros can be created and used by any staff member that is communicating with a guest. If you find a property-specific FAQ that staff members are answering frequently, rather than typing the same message over and over again, make life simple by setting up a macro.
Akia Tip: Some common macro use cases are for answering prospective guests with a link to your website or sending rental information when a guest asks if they can rent a boat or golf cart at your property.
How Do I Create Macros?
- In Settings, you'll find Macros under Utilities
- Click + New Macro to create
- Shortcut: the keyword for your macro. It should be something concise and easy to remember.
- Description: a short blurb to describe what the macro will be used for.
- Message: the message to be auto-filled and sent to guests. You can include Mini Apps in the Message by clicking on the wand icon to the right of the message box.
- Attachment: optionally attach an image or a PDF file to the message.
- Click on OK to save

Use Cases
- 📲 Sending Mini Apps to Guests via Mobile: Find yourself sending the same booklet or agreement to guests on the mobile app? Create a macro for it so you can easily reference it rather than typing in the special message token.
- 🔐 Manually Send Door Codes: Want to manually send guests their door code after their agreement has been signed? Create a macro with a door code message token so your team can quickly send the information to guests after they have checked the agreement.
