What Is ID Verification
With ID Verification, Akia can help your team verify if the guest filling out the Registration Card is the same one who booked the reservation. Our ID Verification component requires the guest to submit photos of their ID (such as a driverβs license or passport) as well as a selfie which we then use to match the photos and the name on the ID to the name on the reservation to ensure it is the same person.
If Akia cannot automatically verify the guest, we will flag it to your team to determine how you would like to proceed, either manually verify or reach out to the guest for more information.
